ASHIRVAD is a drop in the divine Ocean of Bliss. Through the power and mystery of sound and music we invoke here a musical offering to the Gods. The process was initiated with a cosmic calling to share majestic magic in music, transcendentalism in tone, tryptamine in timbre, revalatory in rhythm and mellifluous in mood. From the ancient Sanskrit hymns and mantras of the Vedas and Upanishads, to Medieval Drupad, Courtly Khyal, Amorous Thumri, Devotional Bhajans, Dhuns and Kirtans. Ashirvad is a magic carpet ride which weaves together some of the various elements of sacred sound inherent in the vast spectrum of Indian music in a sympathetic way with modern technological styles including sophisticated electronica, ambient trance and harmonic resonances of the Universal sound. The CD is manufactured according to our Environmental principles. We have used FSC (Forestry Steward Commission) board, meaning the card has been made with wood from managed forests. We have also chosen to use Vegetable based Soya Inks and Water based Varnish. This minimises the use of heavy petrochemicals which have a much higher toxic footprint. This has increased the cost of our packaging which we hope you will support.
