Vinyl Station is a duo (Matthew Thornton and Brendon Cottrell) from Phoenix, AZ. They have been playing (with the current members) for about 2 years, and play a lot of shows. In 2012, Vinyl Station played 390 shows. Whatever you say about them, it can't be that they don't work hard. Their recent Kickstarter campaign was a success, and this album, "The Evening Sin," is the result. Produced by Michael Terry and Matthew Thornton, the goal was to keep things simple and try to highlight the vocals and lyrics of the songs without overdubbing and fixing everything. Usually guitar and vocal takes were done in one or two takes, and bass and piano were added masterfully and quickly by Michael, who is an extremely intuitive player. Vinyl Station is currently performing constantly in Phoenix, AZ.
