"The Little People" is a brand-new partnership by Asani Hard and Dre Baker. Both artists grew up on the east side of Gary, Indiana with no personal connection with one another other than mutual friends. Throughout both of their child and adolescent years, they would work alone attempting to construct projects of music using equipment gifted by family members and family friends. This led to working with much-older producers in the area meanwhile creating fleeting hip-hop groups with some of their peers from school and around the NWI region. They made a name for themselves by battling and having cyphers in high school along with releasing singles. Both artists took matters into their own hands and decided to go solo before reaching out to one another in hopes of just featuring each other on some records. Dre Baker released his first solo effort "Soulful Cypher" in January 2015 while Asani Hard was still releasing singles preparing for his "Loaded Dice" project. But throughout brainstorming on collaborations, the chemistry built and it turned into a full-fledged partnership of displaying immense self-expression, the representation of the underdogs in the world, and most importantly music that connects with listeners on a emotive-yet-enjoyable level. To the point where they claim that every time they write a song one of them uses part of the other's lyrics without previously hearing what was written. They are currently working on a new LP to be giving to the public - one that they nonchalantly-but-surely promised would be there best work as of yet.
