Riding the subway, watching TV, taking a walk, relationships both romantic and plutonic; these kinds of everyday experiences are what inspires Jessica Lewis’ distinctive songwriting style. When these observations and Jessica’s immediately identifiable voice combine with exciting musical and lyrical twists, the result is relatable, interesting and unique.

Born and raised in New York, Jessica started taking piano lessons at 5 years old. At 14, she wrote her first song, and since then has been in love with the art of mixing words, melody, rhythm and emotion into song form. Jessica’s artistry blossomed at Berklee College of music where she studied piano, voice, and songwriting. “Being around and learning from such great artists helped me raise my game and become who I am today”, reflects Jessica on her time spent in Boston. “Having the best-of-the-best as your classmates and competition really helps you focus and lights a fire to have your voice be heard amongst the crowd." These experiences formed the basis of songs such as “City Silence” and “I Want Feeling”.

Since graduation, Jessica has been splitting her time between New York and New England where she can be seen performing at concert venues, cafes, bars, restaurants, and local T.V. and radio stations on a weekly basis. She also records original material at Duotone Audio Group, Stolen Moments, LKRS Studios, and C James Studio. In 2011, Jessica’s singing was featured in a Kohl’s holiday commercial, which aired nationally on primetime, as well as receiving almost 1 million YouTube views. In 2012, Jessica teamed up with Caleb Cook (Bass), Chris Piccirillo (Drums), and Garry Potter (Guitar) to help expand and enhance her signature sound. The group performs and records original music together frequently.

Currently, Jessica Lewis is working on her second album, performing solo and with her band, posting weekly live performances on the web, and writing up a storm. In March 2013, Jessica teamed up with Big Noise Records and is optimistic that this partnership will take her career to the next level.
