It is Paul’s philosophy that his material should not be recorded in cut-up pieces of recordings to make one finished song as done with most recording artists in most recording studios. The entire song is to be recorded with guitar and voice in one continuous recorded track; no sound is ever cut-in to fix an error or to enhance the original take. Then if other tracks are wanted they’re added to the original voice/guitar track; in that sense all Paul’s material is like a live recording; never perfect but definitely more artistic.
