My name is Earl Goodlett. I go by the name “Duke”. I was born and raised in North Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I am a good comprehensive songwriter. I write songs that have the fifties and sixties “Old School” flavor. I have been writing songs for over twenty-five years. I began writing love songs about my life as a teenager coping with feelings after a relationship turned sour. I write deep love songs about the strain of love, the pain of heartbreak and the desire to seek vengeance. I own a treasured collection of rare music from the fifties and sixties. As an Oldies music collector, I have developed a wide range of music appreciation including my personal favorite vintage Doo Wop, Classical, Jazz and Blues.I have been studying the Tyche form of Martial Arts. I take good care of my body with proper nutrition, exercise and long walks. I take good care of my mind by staying positive, focused and as needed secluded. I am a private person who lives alone and enjoys peace and quiet. I am a strong laidback, silent kind of guy. The current music project I have available via CD BABY and Tower Records is titled “Duke the Songwriter” in which the songs I wrote are sang by various artist. I have directed, starred in and produced an independent action packed full-length film titled, “The Dead End Street”. My film is based on a true story and available via FILM BABY.
