AKA (Anointed Kadeem and Anthony) is a profound hip hop duo that is dedicated to delivering the powerful and uplifting message of the gospel through music. Their style reflects the hip hop generation that they grew up in however; they recognize the calling on their lives to use their gifts to reach this generation of young people for God. AKA consists of biological brothers, Anthony and Kadeem Ferdinand. They grew up in a musical family and naturally began rapping and composing music at the ages of 12 and 13. Their first single, I’m A Soldier, was released in 2006 to much success. Since then, they have ministered at numerous churches throughout the Tampa Bay area such as Trinity Gospel Church, Crossover Hip Hop Church and their home church, Triumphant Church Fellowship, where they have been active members for many years. There they have gained the continued support of their pastors, Craig and Barbara Holloway. October 1, 2010 will mark the release date of their highly anticipated debut album titled “I’m A Soldier.” The long awaited project fuses a unique style of hip hop beats with melodic sounds and powerful lyrics. AKA truly live up to their name as anointed men of God, and they will continue to impact and inspire all who listen to their music.
