Born of Vasque descent in Buenos Aires, Juana Luna grew up straddling two worlds: her family’s deep ties to Argentinean folkloric music, and the years she spent singing and playing Argentinean rock, jazz standards, bossa nova and Latin American songs. ​ Her debut EP (official release: September 2017) captures this dichotomy and is fueled by Juana's soothing, honest and sensitive vocals, jazz-influenced instrumentation, and her own personal versions of gems of the Latin American song repertoire, in addition to one original piece. Recorded during two very long and intense days in New York City, Juana's first EP was an idea co-created by her, Gustavo Szulansky (producer) and renowned Colombian pianist Juan Andrés Ospina, who also wrote the arrangements and took care of the musical direction.
