简介

In a Japanese tri-verses it is said, that the cherry gave its color to the singing of nightingale. The performance by Madoyan is also absorbed with the color and fragrance of "Apricot Tree" by Komitas (3.22). In this piece Komitas combined 4 songs. The first outburst of the violinist sounds like"a sound crying in the desert". He turns to a mute tree: "Don't make noise, don't wave, don't irritate the wounds of the heart". In the second song the trills imitate our national instrument "shwi" (pipe), in the third one "doudouck" is heard. In the last song the playing by means of "ponticelli" and tremolo is similar to the timbre of the instrument "bloul", which imitates the rustling of the foliage and expresses suppressed tragedy. The "Kagavick"(Partridge) is a playful, caressing song, which is performed in one breath. Spilled , like dandelions, thrills remind again the timbre of "shwi"(1.29min). In "Vagharshapat Dance" (1.42) the virtuoso lustre of the violinist is present, sharpening of touches of violin bow. This interesting and difficult transcription by KDombayev we first heard from Madoyan. A Chinese poet Su Doun Po describes the painter, who draws the bamboo: "He sees the silk and forgets about people, and says good-bye to himself, penetrating the bamboo with body and spirit, he discovers novelty and purity..." N.Madoyan selflessly plays the song "Keller, Tzoler" (He Walked, Shining) (4.11). To the tragic sounds of the piano condescends from the heaven "reconciled playing" of the violin. Tears which strike the stone, become stony themselves turning into the diamonds of sounds. In the end, "doudouck" is heard as reminiscences. By the way, the violinist himself is fair-haired as well as the hero of this song, and he also "walks, shining". Being full of sorrow, the song "Krounck" (Stork) is the symbol of ties with their motherland of the Armenians spread all over the world (3.41). This sad song in the interpretation of Madoyan turns into the hymn of the lost and again found motherland. The song"Siruhis" (To The Beloved) by S.Barkhudaryan in the violinist's performance sounds like a masterpiece (3.18). The water-coloured image of a "Nairian" Armenian girl is visible, then sounds her graceful dance. The violin imitates the kamanca, which is the instrument of the love singer- ashugh Sayat-Nova. Sometimes the violin seems to speak. After the last thrill the sound disappears as a mirage! "The Dance" by A.Khachaturyan is the adoration of Madoyan: the enormous temperament, artistism, virtuosity improvisation is in the high style of ashughs (4.07). "Concert Scherzo" by E. Abrahamyan is a careless joy, which exists very seldom in our reality, that's why the listener enjoys the virtuosity of the violinist(3.28). "Nocturne" by E.Bagdasaryan is full of "fragrance of summer night", but in Armenia, not in Madrid (4.36).And,as the poet said: "The more the day light grows dim, the more the light of spirit flares up..." "The Dance" by A.Haroutunyan (3.19) is from the celebration genres of good old times, and on this optimistic note the disc ends (33.13). Completely improving it by virtuoso playing and with the help of his violin Madoyan insists, that "at the beginning was the song..."
