简介
What is it like to live and work on the outer edge of land -- on the west coast of Vancouver Island? Hear the stories of the forestry workers, and of a fisherman who arrives in Cedar Harbour, meets a girl, and finds enchantment in the forest and the echoes of an ancient aboriginal culture. Discover how this wild place molds the people. There are songs about children who grow up here and travel far away, only to be drawn back again to this magical place. There is a tribute to a colony of people who lived on a beach in the late 1960s, in which we ask ,"Where have all the flower children gone?" These folk songs and ballads are in a relaxed country style, with a variety of tempos and musical accompaniment, meant to sound familiar yet new and different.
