Glenn is a founding member of the Nashville Songwriters Association. He had his first song recorded in 1952 by his uncle, Grand Old Opry legend, Ernest Tubb. Since then, he has had over 200 songs recorded by artists in all fields of music, such as, Johnny Cash, George Jones, Tammy Wynette, Bob Dylan, Dwight Yoakam, Anne Murray, Charlie Pride, The Kentucky Headhunters and many others. One of his songs, "SKIP A ROPE", earned him a Grammy nomination. He also penned one of Johnny Cash's early hits, "HOME OF THE BLUES" and a duet hit for George Jones and Tammy Wynette titled "TWO STORY HOUSE". In the 1950's he recorded for Dot Records and Decca Records and later for MGM and Mercury records. Glenn is recording again and doing some acting in Movies and theatre. He is also writing novels, screenplays and musical plays for the stage. The first song on his new CD, "HALF AND HALF" is a country gospel song that he wrote with the late Hank Williams.Ernest
