Andy Goessling started as a musician at 11 and became a full time working musician by the age of 15. An introduction to the clarinet in grade school and the gift of an antique zither by his mother, prompted a career as a woodwind and string multi-instrumentalist and lifelong interest in musical instrument history.

Currently touring in the Americana band, “Railroad Earth”, when off time permits, Andy tours with other projects to extend his musical palette. These include “The Shockenaw Mt. Boys”, an acoustic bluegrass outfit that includes other members of RRE and “Sleeping Bee”, an acoustic world music band based out of NYC (more info can be found at www.Lindseyhorner.com ).

Lately, Andy has gone back to one of his first instruments, the zither, to make audiences more aware of its history and musical possibilities.
