Jessica's passionate music moves you into the depths of her heart, mind and soul, offering the same hope she's found in Christ to anyone facing painful trials. "Nothing Wasted" is musically diverse, showcasing her creativity through many different styles of songs. Ranging from pop to ballads and rock to acoustic, this album is sure to connect with listeners not only through her intriguing, catchy melodies but also through her vulnerable and encouraging lyrics. Songs like "You Waste Nothing" and "Adopted" pull on the heart strings as she writes from not only a place of suffering but a place of hope. Others, like "High Road" and "You're Not Alone" are sure to have you singing along to the upbeat pop/ rock songs that share uplifting messages. Jessica is currently a senior in high school. She began writing songs when she was eight and became serious about her passion for music when she taught herself to play (on an old beat up guitar she found in her basement.) She wanted to prove to her parents that she was committed and responsible enough to have her own guitar. It worked! ☺ Once she received her first guitar her songwriting passion sparked and it hasn't stopped! On a whim she entered one of her songs in a songwriting competition and in 2012 her song “Beauty For Ashes,” took first place at the Gideon Media Arts and Music Festival, National songwriting competition in North Carolina. She started getting sick a few months before that competition. It took one year for her to get diagnosed with her Chronic Disease. Out of this painful journey God gave her many songs throughout the night, often at 3 or 4 in the AM when she could not sleep due to the pain. Through those intimate times many songs were birthed. Along with her songs, she loves to share her testimony and other messages that God has given to her which can bring hope to a hurting world. She also loves to lead worship.
