简介
As the singer/songwriter on his third CD, Live and Alone, Wes Lee introduces himself to the listeners as one man with many tones. In Mississippi, Birthplace of America's Music, Wes became a musical storyteller combining his style, ability and passion with the classic Blues stories of drinking, women, life and loss. His current city of Hattiesburg, MS accepted him in 2005 as an adaptable guitar player/musician with a strong stage presence. That presence grew from years of performing live in Mr. Tone & the Blues-Funk Revival (1997-2002) on the road in the southeast where the fan base inspired completion of Wes Lee's first two CD's Tone City and Anything But Wrong. His guitar playing led him to St. Louis, MO for three years where he played blues, soul, surf rock and rockabilly with some talented artists and learned to adapt and incorporate new styles in to his current shows and CD project. His original songs, "Tilt a Whirl" and "Such & Such" are both lively acoustic with memorable lyrics, while his "Backbone Slip" is a sexy slide Blues. His performance of two cover songs on this CD shows his unique way of adapting a commercial song to his style, serving it up with a lot of original feel. This musical expression is the essence of WesLeeMusic and takes you on a journey of the blues highway that he travels.
