At the young age of 20, Jasper Taylor is far more talented and mature than his years. Growing up as a PK (pastor's kid), he learned from an early age about the miraculous powers of God. However, Christ did not become “real” to him until his late teenage years.This passionate relationship has grown and blossomed to unimaginable heights. Seeking after his place in the kingdom, it is clear what Jasper’s gift, his passion, and his place in ministry is… MUSIC. When it comes to singing and writing his own material, Jasper draws from his experiences, his relationships, and his never-ending faith in God. Currently Jasper is furthering himself by studying Music Education at Olivet Nazarene University, in Bourbonnais, IL. As a junior at Olivet, Jasper is highly active by participating in various organizations such as Orpheus Choir, Proclamation Gospel Choir, and Concert Singers. Since 2007 Jasper has served as President and Music Director for Proclamation Gospel Choir. This group is a 50 member choir that travels extensively throught the midwestern region each semester. In the spring of 2009 Jasper will hit the stage in Olivet's production of "Oklahoma" where he will play the role of Ali Hakim. Jasper may be young and fairly new to the Gospel Industry, but he is no amateur. While singing from an early age, he has been blessed with numerous opportunities to minister through song. Within the past two years, Jasper has ministered at the National Baptist Convention of America, Inc., toured in Spain, Italy, France and Germany, given his 3rd Annual Concert for the Chicagoland area, and ministered at Chicago’s 24th Annual Gospel Fest. With the release of his self-titled debut EP, Jasper sings boldly and passionately about realistic relevant and revelealing power of Jesus Christ! He remains committed to the fulfillment of God’s will for his life by spreading God’s message to the world through song.
