Playing with a variety of moods, the heavy playing and subtle layering made with just a Casio keyboard cuts through each of these taped recordings. Having limited resources for recording at the age of sixteen, there's certainly a raw sound to each track, but a developing writing sense is undoubtedly heard. "Dreams of the Infectious Past" kicks the album off in eccentric fashion, while "Inclination to Infallible Grace" plays with two melodies that are forced to counteract with each other romantically. A strange ominous mood is heard throughout "Embers of the Unknown" and the album closes with the wintery, multilayered epic, "The Majestic Serenade." The album takes a slight turn at the end with covers by Swedish Metal band, Dissection. Each cover matches the general theme of the album, given the acoustic interludes and their titles, "Feathers Fell," "Into Infinite Obscurity." and "No Dreams Breed In a Breathless Sleep."
