It could be Jeannette Faith's concert pianist training or simply a love for exquisite sounds. Either way, To Take With You is an alluring ensemble of downtempo and quiet, sophisticated pop. There's no evidence of Wes Steed's roots in garage rock here. Faith's light voice drifts delicately around the jazzy synth work, soaring to remarkably high notes while beats frolic somewhere between trip-hop and downbeat. Lyrics are usually unintelligible, though with such a beautiful voice, it hardly matters. The combination of jazz and electronic work together splendidly, making To Take With You a dreamy delight.
