Hello everyone, I'm K.Freshh. One half of the rap duo; the BlahqLyst, and I'm now releasing my first official solo project. I thought it would be cool if I gave you guys a little backdrop about this album and what inspired it. Well, first off, this was merely an idea I had… and it turned into 10 tracks which I’m very proud of. I made this music to serve as a soundtrack for a time period of your everyday life. From the time you come home, through the evening and the night, all through your dreams (even the crazy ones)…and nightmares, until you wake back up the next morning and do it all again. Topics that I cover on this project are very personal. It’s probably my most personal lyrics to date. It’s not overly lyrical because I wanted made this project an experience…I wanted to make it real. There are imperfections in this project, and I think that’s perfect because no day is…PERFECT, right? If we are not perfect people, then how can we have perfect days. There was always something we could have done better that day, today, or whatever. Well, I cover things from God, love, infatuation, drugs, dreams, ambitions, my feelings for and towards certain people, worries, fears, emotion and a host of other things. I tell a lot of stories on this project. I often intertwine stories of fantasy and my real life. So, many things I talk about are actually true and it’s really how I feel. It even deals with stuff that happens at school, such as: when people make judgments about you and do not know the whole story. Also, a lot of this album takes place in the “dream state.” So, there are a lot of continuous thoughts and reoccurring themes or emotions. It just adds that much more dimension and reality to the project. From the very first song, I take you on a journey of adventure, thought and emotion, all throughout the night, until you finally wake back up. I often use a girl, who I named Clarissa, as a silhouette, image or an example for things such as infatuation, losing focus and sight on God, drugs, and all the topics that I discuss on this project. Oh, and just in case you were wondering, Clarissa is the best friend of my girl best friend (I mention her a lot too, in fact, she’s the only girl I didn’t namedrop but allude to, ironically) but no, the songs and the stories are not about Clarissa herself, you know, like personally. Her name just serves as an example for every topic I speak on. I did it to help you visualize and put things into place. Well, I think that’s it guys. I really hope you enjoy the album. I like to call it more of an experience and a captured time period. I have tried to be as straightforward as I can on this project, and I hope you all enjoy that aspect. This project is solely written, produced, mixed, and mastered by me and recording took place at my home studio a.k.a., my den. Peace and love to everyone, and I truly thank you all for listening. I hope that this is a project you live with, learn from, and grow with. I hope it makes you listen to it many times over, as it has done for me. And even if you don’t like it, thank you too.
