Being around music all of his life, Solow G tha Mexiking (born Jese Emmanuel Galvan October 14, 1983) became aware of his love for music at a very young age. Early in life, his older brother was a songwriter and his other two brothers were singers. Solow discovered his and love for freestyling at the age of thirteen while experimenting with his brother’s DJ equipment. Being from a background of singing and Spanish music, the Mexiking decided to take his music career in a different direction, instead of becoming a singer like his siblings, he would rap. It was then when the Mexiking decided that he wanted to pursue his rap career. The Mexiking began writing songs. By the age of 17, the Mexiking had moved back to Polk County. After he moved back, he found out many people he grew up with were on the same music path. One of these people happened to be Mychael “Mic $crilla” Frazier. Solow now began performing in a series of groups including Tha Clickalation, CDT, 420, and Gully Fam. After graduating high school, Solow caught the eyes of several promoters who began letting him open for notable acts. The artists he opened for include Lil Wayne, BG, Pastor Troy, and Lil Scrappy. After opening for these acts, the Mexiking joined another group by the name of Chosen Royalty. With this group, he opened for TI, Young Buck, Jim Jones, Bow Wow, Ying Yang Twinz, and 112. Along with these performances, he opened in four states with T-Pain, five states with Lil Wayne, two states with D4L, and many others. Currently, Solow G tha Mexiking is promoting an underground mixtape (Tha Mextape) in the southeast. Along with the promotion of Tha Mextape, Solow is in the studio working on his album release under Block Market Music.
