The Bridges project was conceived by two friends who between them have a wide variety of musical influences. We decided to create an instrumental album that blends our styles, hence the name "Bridges". We are Alex Posmontier and Steven Rose. Alex is a straight ahead jazz pianist who is classically trained. Both the jazz and classical traditions influence his writing and playing though at this point in his career he leans strongly toward jazz. Alex teaches jazz piano and performs with his band or as a solo act. He has also played piano for the Netflix movie "Candy Jar (2018)" Steven is a multi-instrumentalist who loves progressive rock and jazz fusion. His preferred instrument is guitar but loves playing drums and bass as well. Sound design is also in Steven's background as he has been creating his own synthesizer patches for many years. Writing and orchestration are his greatest passions. The resulting album is hard to categorize because it contains so many different styles and influences, often within the same song. This is intentional. We wanted to let the music take us where it wanted to go. That's what we want for the listener as well. We hope you enjoy the ride. Please feel free to contact us if you wish.
