Medjivepjis produces innovative and experimental work. Improvisation is a fundamental tool in the process of producing work and is a vital part of life. His work includes video, film, digital and traditional photography, theatre, installation, sound and music. He began his career in New York, toured throughout the Americas as an A/V engineer, eventually settling in Europe. In the past, Medjivepjis has worked with such highly acclaimed international artists such as: Marvin Gaye, Blood Sweat and Tears, Chaka Khan, Aretha Franklin, Patti La Belle, Jess Roden, Niominka Bi N’Diaxas Band, Pentangle, Court of Miracles, Life After Bob, The Fugitives, Uprising (Barbados), Bobby Colomby. All of these artists have influenced the music that he now creates, from the hard driving Loopy or Just Kidding Around which rely solely on drums, bass and guitar, to the relaxed feel of Driving In A Late Spring Snowfall, a more orchestral piece, while Ska and Reggae influences can be found in the title Skarnb and What Do I Gotta Do, Dimnon is a bit of the kind of fun that occurs when a few drinks happen amongst two musicians during the summer months. If you enjoy this album, keep your ears open for the next release due out in the Autumn. This Album began with a chance encounter of a young drummer named Daniel T. Smith, who at the young age of 20 when met was open to all kinds of music. His energy prompted Medjivepjis to get up and do it! Dan is into playing Metal, his long lanky frame gives him an excellent reach around a kit that has two kick drums, a range of toms from 8 inches to 24 inches and his cymbals have been hand picked from all over the world. On Shed for Summer Marina Moreno came into the cabin studio and picked up one of the guitars laying around, she began to pretend to be a singularly gifted musician while Medjivepjis was just setting up to record a guitar line. She promptly began to squeeze out a few notes and was amusing herself acting like Pete Townsend, unaware that he was recording her. He kept the track as it was played and it remains unadulterated in execution and style. BTW, she never picked up a guitar before for any serious playing, nor since then, so this is a world exclusive. In Loopy, Marina was asked by Medjivepjis to add some backing vocals to his already uncommon style of vocalizing, her efforts again are remarkable here.
