Neighbouring west of Toronto you'll find a vast suburb with a big city vibe the natives named Mississauga; where singer-songwriter Christopher George resides. Eager to make a serious first impression, George releases his sexy summer single Fire It Up, from his up and coming debut release of the Electric Love Letter Ep, a song that promotes sex positivity, blending sultry jazz riffs and a gospel like spirit with George's velvety rich vocals. Raw and sincere, George's music has a certain vulnerability to it, yet it is strong and sanguine. Influenced by Toronto's rich urban roots championed by artists such as Drake and The Weeknd, George sought to create an r&b sound that was contemporary without compromising musicianship. "I wanted to make music for today, yet I wanted to achieve something sonically that was completely organic. So it was important to me that everything on the record was authentic: real instruments, real musicians, real themes. I feel the music comes out a bit more honest that way." This year Christopher George will release his debut project The Electric Love Letter, a collection of five soulful, guitar driven grooves that flutters from r&b to jazz to blues and hard rock. Included are songs like Warmer, a song that simultaneously showcases George's incredible range while seeking to mend broken hearts everywhere.
