简介
Lisa Linehan graduated from the University of Virginia and worked for a top financial firm before pursuing a music career. She worked in New York, London and L.A. but never lost her passion for music. An epiphany during an emergency plane landing led her to pursue life as a singer/songwriter. Her musical influences include Sarah McLachlan, Paula Cole, Tori Amos, Alanis Morissette, Jewel and Natalie Merchant. Lisa recently graduated from UCLA with a Master's Degree in Social Work. She hopes to bring positive change to families and children with her music. The title of the record, Attachment Theory, was inspired by her studies and work with women and kids in a domestic violence shelter. Lisa has performed at L.A. venues including The Knitting Factory, Cat Club, Catalina Bar and Grill, The Gig, Westwood Brewing Company, Genghis Cohen, House of Blues and The Joint. Lisa is a member of the Recording Academy and has worked with the GRAMMY Foundation. Performance highlights include singing The National Anthem for two L.A. Dodgers home games and for the Lakers and Clippers at STAPLES Center. For two years, Lisa was the soprano in the a cappella group, Grace (www.gracesings.com). She recently recorded "Beautiful Day" for the Vitamin Records CD, "An Ethereal Tribute to U2." She also has taught voice for Vocal Power Academy.
