简介

Since 1989, Wanda & Zach have been performing together but their stories go back even farther. As songwriters, they share a common goal about writing music that touches the audience in a personal way. This release of original and traditional compositions reflects just a small part of the many songs which both have written over the years. If you enjoy pure traditional "Country, Bluegrass or Gospel" music, then this CD should be in your collection. Wanda started singing in local talent contests back in her hometown of Russellville, Kentucky when she was fifteen years old and has a very original style of singing. Listen to the song "Don't Send Me Roses" and you'll hear her distinctive voice. Many times she would sing and perform in some of the local civic organizations back in Russellville for charity events, always trying to help others in some way through her music. Her inspiration to sing and write comes from famous artists like Jim Reeves, Pasty Cline, Emmy Lou Harris and Rhonda Vincent. Zach has been performing since the age of nine and writing songs since he was fourteen years old. Born in Detroit, Michigan, he was inspired at an early age by legends such as Hank Williams Sr., Stonewall Jackson, Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, Conway Twitty, Lefty Frizzell, Tony Rice, Elvis and the Beatles. His songwriting was greatly influenced by Hank Williams Sr. and Hank Jr., along with the great John Lennon and Paul McCartney. You can find traces of these artists and songwriters in a lot of his songs and his style of performing. Today, you can find Wanda & Zach performing throughout the mountains of Western North Carolina at various events, clubs or civic organizations. For more information, visit www.cbgmusic.com.
