简介
Salvatella, a primitive medical treatment for melancholy is a word that Breadfoot had been caring around with him for longtime. The word was gleaned from a desktop calendar of forgotten English. Lost in the funk of a severe depression, result of a broken heart and several musical ventures soured, Breadfoot rather than slice open a vein in his ankle, as the treatment prescribes, choose to pen the title track for the new album. Salvatella is Breadfoot’s third full-length studio album, described by Americana UK as “…a refreshing alternative to some of the more archetypal Americana.” , is his most adventurous to date. From the opening solo acoustic salve of the title track to the final cymbal crash of the Dixieland inspired Still Can’t (Find My Heart) that closes out the side, Salvatella is a reminder of how rich, varied and whimsical the heartworn Americana musical landscape can truly be. Salvatella was funded via Kickstarter. The album was recorded, mixed and mastered at On Pop Of The World Studios in Greensboro, NC and features some truly exceptional local musicians from bands like Vaughn Aed, D.O.G, Jack Carter and The Armory, Tommy Flake, Damn Frank, Corporate Fandango, Ameriglow, Holy Ghost Tent Revival and Lost In The Trees. The album is currently receiving swell reviews and there is a video for Room In Her Heart in production. The video, dark and humorous in a Don Quixote-esque kinda way, was scripted by Breadfoot and is being produced in association with the most best-est folks at Blight Productions outta Long Beach, Ca. Breadfoot whose music has been said to be as at home on the porch as it is in the parlor is currently planning tours for the new year in the US and abroad. On previous occasions he has shared the stage state side with The Avett Brothers, Regina Spektor, Kimya Dawson, and Langhorne Slim and in the UK with such acts as The Decemberists, Richard Buckner, and The Larry Love Show Band (the acoustic branch of Alabama 3).
