John Maher lives in Warren, OH (hometown of Dave Grohl) but is a child of the 90's Manhattan Music Scene. John was inspired to take up the electric bass as a result of the influence of John Taylor and the music of Duran Duran. His music is influenced by the likes of The Cure, Culture Club, Morrissey, and the Pet Shop Boys. He has recently begun to pursue music again at the urging of his wife Rebecca Maher (author and performer of "Pancakes and a Lobster Tank; Living with Autism, Loving Alex). More recent influences include Ben Folds, Matchbox Twenty, and Regina Spektor. During the day, he is an Automotive Quality Manager and the father of two sons.
