Beverly Matujal is a Sabahan singer-songwriter with a long-standing love affair with storytelling through the medium of music, which began when she was eleven and experiencing her first secret crush. Despite that short-lived infatuation, her love for music eventually grew and she went on to write many more songs after picking up the piano and guitar by ear. In 2012, her original song 'Honeydew' aired on the Hitz Borneo English Top 10 and stayed at the number 1 spot for at least 12 weeks. She has since been interviewed at numerous radio stations like Hitz KK, KK.FM and Traxx FM. She has also been featured on a music blog run by Joanna Funk called 'SabahSongs' as well as Breeze Magazine. More recently, she has performed at large-scale Malaysian events, including the 2016 Penang Island Jazz Fest and Iskarnival 2016 at Johor Bahru. Nowadays, she is actively gigging in the indie music scene in Kuala Lumpur and has a YouTube channel dedicated to music and lifestyle vlogs.
