Her first album was entitled, "Melancholy Pop." A wide variety of influential producers contributed to the album, including Andrew Williams (Old 97's, Peter Stuart, Victoria Williams, Scott Thomas Band), Chad Fischer (Alexi Murdoch, Colin Hay, Lazlo Bane) and Dave Dale. Most of the songs on this CD were co-written with Kevin Hunter (Wire Train, Tuesday Night Music Club). Tracks from this album were used on a number of different TV shows, including "Roswell", "Wonderfalls", "Party of Five". Renee felt that the music on her follow up album, "sounded a bit more optimistic," which led her to title the album, "Hopeful Romantic." She describes the general sound of this album as, “on the electronic side” which she calls “folktronica” Barnes & Noble Booksellers distributed “Hopeful Romantic” nationally. Her song “Something Real” was used in the trailer for the movie “The Dead Girl” She also released “It’s a Big World” on One Melody Records in 2007, which is a collection of original songs for children of all ages that she wrote and performed with Jeremy Toback. It all started with a simple idea, really: to make kids' music that adults could enjoy, not just tolerate - a collection of original songs for parents who appreciate the likes of Jack Johnson, Nick Drake, and Aimee Mann. The result is a treasure chest of luminous harmonies and sophisticated lullabies. Quiet time music for the whole family to enjoy together.
