Da Realest Emcee's music consist of conscious, inspirational and motivating lyrics. Staying true to his name, his lyrics are real and aren't based around gimmicks and funny marketing strategies to catch the ear of the public. He focuses on staying true to the art and culture of Hip-Hop and inspiring his listeners. You can even hear a religious undertone in many of his songs. His alter ego, D.R.E, shows a more commercial side to his music. These songs tend to be more catchy and creative and geared towards the radio and clubs. The new single, "Shake Ya Body," was strictly created for the commercial radio market. After hearing the alluring and hypnotizing beat produced by King Drew of The Track Bullies, D.R.E knew he had a hit on his hands and had to write to it. With the beat already doing most of the work, his main priority was coming up with a catchy hook to make the track more powerful and addictive. From there, it was writing lyrics that were easy to remember and that would cater to the majority of the ladies in the club. After all 3 components came together, D.R.E and King Drew realized "Shake Ya Body" was defintely a hit and had to be released to the public immediately.
