Hi,

My name is Marilyn and I am an adult Child of an Alcoholic. In an effort to seak healing from a dysfunctional relationship with my Father, I went through a 9 month Journey Through the 12 Steps. This was an amazing recovery setting that encouraged members to go deep into The 12 Steps adopted by Alcoholics Anonymous for all dependencies. Through that process, God gave me the inspiration to write and record this album called "Powerless". It is basically my perception of what the 12 Steps mean to me. The music was recorded by L.A.'s best musicians including Ricky Lawson who was on Tour with Michael Jackson at the peak of his career. This album is musically diverse including many styles such as Jazz, Latin, R and B, Blues and beautiful ballades that include strings and full orchestration. This music will hopefully comfort and encourage you to take hope in knowing that you have a loving higher power and you are not alone.
