Andrew has been writing and rapping since he was in elementary school. He always loved listening to hip hop music and one day thought he would attempt to write a rap song. Soon he had large rhyme book that he kept to himself as he quietly worked on his new found talent and craft. It was in grade 9 that Andrew decided to reveal his talent to rap and write tracks. Soon he became known as a talented mc in his high school and city. He would rap whenever he could whether in class or the lunch room with a crowd around him. It wasn't until one day that he forgot his rhyme book at home that he discovered his love and passion for freestyle rapping. He of course was not great at first but daily he would work at training his mind to think fast through word association games, rapping about his surrounding and reading rhyming dictionaries. Soon Andrew was showcasing his freestyle talent at local open mics and battles. He struggled with trying to find his identity as an artist. He realized at summer camp that God wanted him to use this gift for Him and His purposes not his own. This changed Andrew's views on his talents and his lyrics. He realized he needed to be a good steward of the gifts the Lord gave him. Soon he was writing Christ focused songs and performing at youth groups and Churches. He began to work on his original passion of writing and not just freestyling. He recorded an ep with his brother a fellow rapper and producer. It was the beginning of Andrew recording songs professionally. 2 time Grammy nominee Robert "Fresh I.E." Wilson heard about him while on tour in Western Canada. Soon they met in person and about a week later Andrew was on a bus to Winnipeg to record with Fresh I.E. He recorded his first track with Fresh "War" minutes after hopping off the bus in Winnipeg.Soon Andrew was doing shows all the time and going on tours across Western Canada. After a long hiatus he is back now pouring out his heart and soul through his lyrics. He loves to talk about real life issues such as world events, personal struggles, and of course His faith. He is not trying to be someone else he is very happy being himself and reporting on the world around around Him as he sees it. This is why he calls himself the Journalist. He uses words to spread a message of hope, love and warning to a world in desperate need of Jesus Christ. He loves using a medium and genre that is normally seen as negative to spread the love of Jesus.
