SUGIMOTO Tomoyuki began to compose for himself as a junior high school student. As soon as entering a college, he introduced a computer and other electronic equipments to make music. From 2001 to 02, he won 3 prizes on music contests. In 2004, \"Point Card\", his work for the Cornelius Remix Contest, was released as one of the tracks in \"nova musicha n.8 / CORNELIUS\". He began his podcast program \"Modulation\" in 2004, which got very popular among a lot of listeners all over the world. In February 2007, \"IPO\" was released. ------------------------------------------------------- SM [Super Music] Liner Notes Though it\'s more than one year since the previous album \"IPO\" was released, SUGIMOTO hasn\'t spent all the period producing this new album; rather, most of the tracks were made only for 2 weeks in January 2008. SUGIMOTO started making them to apply for a newly founded techno label. During that short period, he made as many as 20 demos. Getting interested in releasing them, the label staffs made a contact with SUGIMOTO, but eventually they decided not to. So SUGIMOTO decided to release the tracks from his own label \"Modulation\", and did an additional recording in June. Perhaps, the tracks in \"SM\" are more pop and dance-music-oriented than the ones in the previous \"IPO\", but at the same time, are filled with his uniqueness and innovativity. SUGIMOTO has announced that he intends to make the next one in this year.
