简介
To commemorate the bands 2013 appearance of the annual Bats Day In The Fun Park® event, (batsday.net) Coffin Draggers treat guests to a three song E.P. titled In The Garden. In true Coffin Draggers fashion, the release is set to a backdrop of macabre and darkness. The opening track, Welcome To My Garden, is a brand new, re-recorded version of the song that first appeared on the bands debut album, Dying Breath. The tune is at a break neck pace highlighting the bands ability to rip through a song with pinpoint precision, a definite influence of 80's punk in there. The second track, Plant You Now, Dig You Later, is an anxiety inducing piece contributed by the newest Coffin Dragger, V.W. Malouf (guitars). The intro of McMurders upright bass slap sets the ominous tone for the song, a mans reoccurring visit to his lost lovers grave to live out his necro fantasy. "Digging up my girlfriend, knocking on your coffin, making love now and then, loving you is my sin, I'll plant you now and dig you later". The song features a smokin' guitar solo showing Maloufs unprecedented ability to handle a six string. The final track, She's Dead But She's Not Gone, also contributed by Malouf, is a straightforward rockin' tune about a man who doesn't let the passing of his life long love stop him from enjoying her "company". Gator McMurder - Upright Bass, Vocals Robert Frank - Drums, Background Vocals V.W. Malouf - Guitars, Background Vocals, Spoons, Whistler Female vocals by Patricia Nickerson and Carol Ann de Leon Recorded March 2013 at Funeral Home Studios, California.
