简介
No grit, no glory. Pull yourself up by your boot straps and weather the storm, because we’re going to make it, “Rain or Shine.” We are proud to announce George Taylor’s sophomore release, “Rain or Shine,” the successor of his debut “TroubleTown.” Through Taylor’s determined vocals, gritty guitar and harmonica, this self-release is on a mission to awaken the ears and hearts of Americana music fans. The album is as masterfully un-adulterated in production as its songs are masterfully crafted. George Taylor, a gifted songwriter, showcases hook driven songs with a roots style and all the charisma you’d expect from a much older bluesman. No song exhibits this more than “Harvest Moon” (top 5 finisher in Snagajob hourly gig music video contest 8/12). On this track Taylor plays a 40’s Oahu lap guitar and blows harp over lyrics that take you back in time through a story of choosing between living wrong or suffering right, both common themes throughout the record. The album was recorded during Taylor’s three year tenure in Austin, TX. Justin Douglas (Producer of Ray Bonneville’s “Bad Mans Blood”) of Shine Studios, Austin TX, is credited with producing, mixing, engineering and mastering as well as playing pedal steel and bass on “Rain or Shine.” George, who wrote all songs, handles vocals, harmonica, electric and acoustic guitar, while co-producing alongside Douglas. Due to this record's already great reception we believe 2014 will be a breakout year for George and “Rain or Shine.” WCNI Connecticut's - Brian Bourgoin says, “Your blend of rough around the edges roots and twang are music to my ears!” This album exudes what Americana music truly is and we are looking forward to showcasing this record at supporting tour dates TBA.
