So, here we are again, one step away from 'confidential' but still locked-in upstairs in the big house at the top of the hill, staring through the windows at the huge mountains and even huger skyscapes which stretch into infinity in every direction. One step away from escape to the deep south where there are humans and shops and televisions and all sorts of extraordinary civilized stuff. One step away from contact with someone that knows how to speak jeffsterino and appreciates cold beer with lime. One little step from heaven knows where...where ever the next adventure begins I suppose... One step away from the next song? It's been such a long and cold winter and I'm wondering if the planet has decided to give summer a miss completely this year as it doesn't seem to want to get warm. I've been chatting to Gordy a lot, we've been messing in the muck, feeding the ducks on the pond and deliberating over the future as we try to put my car back together. Sometimes, while I'm half-way through a corned beef, cheese and tomato roll I can sense that it's not all what it should be and life may be more bearable with some sunshine, a few more quid to spend and less bureaucracy to (not) have to deal with, I could end up moving to France at this rate, or Spain even: they'll never catch me there... Then, later in the evenings when I'm striding up the hill back to the hornted house with the ear plugs glued to my brain and sheep sh*t gripping to my boots, I can see that it's pretty well complete now – spring that is...Come on summer!! However, 'Tick the box' won't be completed until late July I guess. In case you're wondering, Tick the box is the album where all these silly tunes belong and it's 6 songs deep at the moment and fighting for survival beneath a weight of coursework which must be completed by the end of the month. Do you notice how the world keeps spinning around? One stepses at a time. Be patient ......Hmmmm it's now 23:52 on the 10th May 2012...... and counting......So, Jeffsterino, what's next?....... Change the world?...(still working on that).... Bed probably. Will upload '1 step' tomorrow at the Ben Loyal Hotel. Can't do much else until I get the band rounded up and enough bread to feed the ducks for a week. They haven't heard any of it yet! You're the first.
