Leonor Dely, the “Voice of Colombia,” presents her fifth album. Several songs are the Bahá’í Writings set to original music. Her soulful voice and the beauty of the words are accompanied by family group Millero Congo’s Afro-Caribbean drumming, indigenous flutes from Colombia, electric guitar, bass and violin. Esto es Fe (This is Faith) is addressed to followers of all religions or beliefs, to each of us who live on Earth today. The album is dedicated to Leonor's eldest son David Dely who passed away on March 28, 2013 after having recorded on many of the album's tracks and having written "El Pájaro." This project is a continuation of four previous albums (Amame, Talismán, Ora Tambó, Makerule). The compositions have been cooked in the pot of time, achieving a unique alchemy with love as the greatest catalyst. Faith is the knowledge of the meaning of human life which leads us forward with hope and confidence. THIS IS FAITH is an invitation on a spiritual journey that combines drums, vocals, native flutes and harmonies to release a passionate encounter with the sublime. The first song, JOY, gives us wings to fly. INTONE invites us to chant the verses of God, that the sweetness of its melody may kindle our own souls. ONE COMMON FAITH opens to us the most effective remedy for the healing of the world. FIRMNESS in faith gives us the joy of living. THIS IS FAITH allows us to believe again and again, even without the certainty of immediate answers. MYSTIC TONGUES reveals myriads of hidden mysteries in a single melody. Violins accompany the sacred words to the mythical kingdom of SHEBA. THE BIRD carries with it a message of hope that connects us with God’s ABOUNDING LOVE. We end the journey with the blending together of notes in a perfect chord, demonstrating the value of DIVERSITY in the human family.
