Keith Yanes performs contemporary instrumental music. His instrument of choice is the axe that hath but four strings: the bass guitar. Keith embraces aspects from just about any part of the musical spectrum; he wants to try everything. He has written Latin melodies, classical preludes, and funky grooves. “Gadget of Four”, released on Keith’s co-founded label Crabwise Records out of Duluth, Minnesota, is a full-blown expression of music at its finest. “Gadget of Four” mirrors techniques and styles of a Chick Corea or Victor Wooten record, but also has an influence of Keller Williams with the use of looping both bass and percussion.
