When Del Rendon passed away in September of 2005, his family and friends came together to produce a compilation of some of his better known songs. Naming the record Volume I: Jarnigan to Bethel, the two names refer to street names in which we associated with Del's musical performance. Jarnigan being the street location in which we think Del may have played one of his first gigs and Bethel being the street location in which we metaphorically associate with Del's last performance. 10 years later, we come back together to produce Volume II: After Bethel. While we stuck with some of Del's better known music, this time we reached out to nine different bands to record Del songs based on their own interpretations. We end up with a vastly diverse and eclectic array of music performed by some incredibly talented musicians. This record is heartfelt, passionate and moving. If you are familiar with the original songs, you will appreciate these new versions. If this record is a Del Rendon first for you, then you will start your journey with Volume II which we hope will introduce you to an amazing world of riveting and powerful music.
