简介

Peter Jones was born in Trinidad and Tobago in the town of San Fernando. Even as a small child his dream was to always be a singer and song writer. Music being his first love, he found a way to integrate it into his life at a very young age. When he was old enough to perform on stage, he became a member of the Southern Guest Stars of San Fernando, Trinidad performing in a variety of venues and on radio all over the island. Always with a song in his heart, and a rhythm to match, he began composing and making music for a variety of genres once he arrived in the United States in 1974. In 2012, he became lead guitarist and background vocal singer of an up and coming Miami based Chutney band group, Red 360. His first solo release, "Go Down Low" is just one of the many songs that he has written and produced. It is truly a dream come true. "Go Down Low" is a blend of soca, calypso and merengue. Soca , a genre of Caribbean music originated in Trinidad and Tobago and is an off shoot of calypso with influences of cadence, funk and soul influences. Merengue, one of the most popular genres throughout Latin America, parts of the United States and the Caribbean, combined with the soca and calypso in this piece truly enhances the melody and lyrics making this piece an international explosion. Unlike many other soca songs, this one is not high energy, but is more middle of the road, easy listening and is appealing to not only the younger generation but also to the more mature, reminding one of past times or the good old days. This soca song with its" catchy" beat gives of the energy of romance, relaxation and partying all wrapped up in one musical piece. "Go Down Low" caters to the the emotions of all people regardless of country or culture. It is a soca song to which every one regardless of generation can relate. It is easy listening, and a dance to song with a beat that reverberates through the listener. This song screams , Let's party." The artists have truly captured the essence of soca in this piece.
