简介
Macarone is a Rap Activist, or some say a Raptivist. On this LP Macarone takes on the establishment! He throws a middle finger to the status quo, while at the same time bringing love and hope to people in the struggle! The influences for this project come from all over the Liberal Spectrum. From Fred Hampton & Huey P Newton to Cenk Uygur, Randi Rhodes & Stephanie Miller and her Sexy Liberals. From Rage Against The Machine, Immortal Technique & Public Enemy to Jimi Hendrix & Janice Joplin. The Propaganda LP 2 dares to cover important issues like corporations and their inluence on our politics, our communities and on the world of Hip-Hop on songs like "Occupy the Hood", "Eat the Rich" and "Everybody Needs Love". Mac also brings a little bit of comedy to the sad situation we face in America on tracks like "I'm So Broke" and "Right-Wing World". For a breakway from the politics, Macarone and the DOP Inc crew venture into toxic relationships in "Posion" and fatherhood in "My Two Sons". Even the Student Debt Crisis, the Prison Industrial Complex and Teen Runaways are huge issues that are covered on Propaganda 2 in songs like "Rest of Your Life", "Drug War" and "Runaway". Kim G Publisher of Indy Media Weekly says: "Maurice Macarone Bradford, Deena Maddox, Strat and Hitman bring some great tracks to the war on Propaganda. This album contains graphic descriptions of the culture war. Definitely one of my favorite records of the year".
