简介
In the summer of 2015, singer-songwriters Michael Iorio and Danny Sales created the peace preaching reggae band Elephants Dancing. The two were friends since a young age and began the project after connecting through similar styles of music. Eight track, “Clear Skies EP” was released shortly after the band was created. Throughout 2016 the elephants were challenged with distance due to college. This time was used to write and record the 19 track album “Rituals”. The front-men traded audio clips and document files daily to share ideas and structures allowing rituals to be written with ease. After the release the band began to perform regularly and continue to write. Elephants Dancing has performed on bills with various bands and also in bars as the night’s entertainment. The band currently has over 40 originals tunes; all with their own island vibe. The music written and performed by the band brings uplifting thoughts and impacting moments delivered by fun melodies, clever raps, syncopation, and island vibes. Using the realization of current life and repeating history, the music sends a message of wisdom. The elephants groove to roots reggae, island hip-hop, and beach rock, but the influences go much further. Both writers are influenced by a wide variety of genres including: pop-punk, metal, rap, math-rock, and classical. Elephants Dancing released a single on the 2016 summer solstice titles “Summer’s Song” and another on Earth day 2017 titled “Song of the Trees”. The summer of 2017 refaced the band which now includes a brass section, lead guitar and the bubble. Brought to you by the Elephants, sponsored by Kevin.
