The Detours are Vincent Palmeri (Guitar and Vocals), Nic Palmeri (Bass and Piano), and Kevin Redding (Drums). They formed in 2005 on Long Island, New York. They started writing songs for their first album in 2007 and continued to write until 2010 when they started the recording of "The Difference Between". The whole album was recorded in the basement of the Palmeri's childhood home except for track 7 which was recorded in a close friend's house. It was recorded, mixed, produced, and mastered by Nic Palmeri. All songs were written by Vincent Palmeri with help on the lyrics from Kevin Redding for tracks 2,5,8, and 10. Nic Palmeri also wrote track 4 with Vincent Palmeri.
