简介
In 2014 Tony Vegas of Talon: Best of Eagles (one of the most professional and talented tribute bands in the UK) decided to go into the studio to honour the musician he's been playing tribute to for twelve years - the legendary Joe Walsh. That's no easy feat but Tony Vegas is no slouch on the six string, has a voice not dissimilar to Joe Walsh's and has a genuine affinity for the great man's music. Those traits have helped produce an extremely accomplished album, opening with the Single Edit version of 'Life's Been Good' Tony honours Joe Walsh across ten tracks in revered yet fun style. For example the Talon guitarist pays homage to 'Pretty Maids All in a Row' with an arrangement frighteningly close to the Eagles Hell Freezes Over live version, while putting his own six-string stamp on the James Gang classic 'Walk Away.' But it's not all Eagles numbers and 70s era Joe - the rock icon's recent Analog Man solo activities are accounted for in the shape of the celebratory 'One Day at a Time' and the sincere and reflective 'Family.' Life's Been Good to Tony Vegas these last dozen years - and it's been pretty good musically for Joseph Fidler Walsh for some four and a half decades. This album helps celebrate both.
