At the intersection of self-doubt and self-confidence, one finds themselves the beneficiary of spiritual impact provided by Alignment EP. The long-awaited musical offering is Portland rap artist Mat Randol’s experimental debut for exploring the therapeutic value of confronting one’s insecurities through the creation and collaboration of music. Rich with themes relating to love, maturation, and mental health, the project tethers from depressive to manic vibrations as the Northwest native searches for stability within the self - a journey in which many can relate to. Soundscapes range from traditional boom-bap sampling to progressive avant-garde flavors of hip-hop with production by Dalure, Fountaine, Cozy Boy Beatz, Neill Von Tally, King Tut, Ed Cruz, Heaven in Stereo, and Kagwe. With vocal support primarily from singer Maxime, Randol raps himself away from negative thinking and onto a path of aligning with his true divine self.
