Chemikal Recipe have been producing and DJing for several years now, making a name for themselves in the UK for their unabashed love of all genres of music and party attitude. This, their debut EP release, is a reflection of the mixed bag of ingredients they dip into, cooked together under a loose framework of the Transatlantic sounds of House and Garage. From the catchy vocal cut of 'Your Love', all fast paced, driving drums and catchy hook, its the perfect introduction to their production abilities. Frameworks, the eponymous track, is a skippy, upbeat house groove with a rubbery bassline, the antithesis to the darker breakbeats of Million Little Pieces. Rather than sticking to the standard templates of dance tracks, these tunes are constantly evolving, always surprising the listener at every turn and pushing the Frameworks theyve put themselves into.
