简介
Anandateerthara Bhaktigeetegalu is originally a set of 12 sanskrit stotras known as Dvadashastotra composed by the great 13th century saint and philosopher Sri Madhvacharya who lived in Udupi, a town in the southern Indian state of Karnataka. He founded "Tattvavaada", also popularly known as the Dwaita philosophy. The Dvadashastotra was translated to Kannada by Vidyavachaspati Dr Bannanje Govindacharya who is among the top vedic scholars in India. The melodies were composed and arranged by Praveen Biligiri and Sujay Harthi. The songs are composed by fusing traditional classical music with folk elements whereas the arrangement, with its extensive use of piano, guitars and drums, however, is very contemporary thereby giving the songs a very unique sound when compared to the traditional devotional music from South India. The musicians who have worked on this album are Vocalists: Shubhangi Deshpande, Kavita Udupa, Rajashree Deshpande, Sheethal Praveen, Ashwini Harthi, Sharmila Adarsh, Praveen Biligiri, Sujay Harthi and Aditi Datta.
