Melissa wrote the melody and lyrics of this song in the shower, “It’s just a place were your brain starts to wander. Before I knew it I had come up with a whole song and used up the hot water,” she laughs. It was recorded and mixed by Ben Lang, one of Melissa’s close friends. As a quirky and unique artist, it was only natural that the recording process was the same. “We found ourselves recording at the bottom of a long, winding concrete stairwell to get the violin sounding just right, and the effects of which were astounding. With no artificial reverb present, the violins strike at your very heart with a haunting, ethereal presence that demand nothing less than your utmost attention and emotion,” Mr Lang said. Metal guitarist, Navid Talebi from the band Voice Of Valour played the lead parts in this song. The dirty guitar really captures the dark essence that this song has.
