His childhood was eaten up with addiction and sexual, mental, physical and spiritual abuse. His father was extremely abusive to him, his mother and his four siblings. Hank lived a very sick childhood that eventually led him to an extremely drug induced world. He was high on mushrooms and hallucinogenics at the age of eleven years old. He was quickly introduced to every drug imaginable. Hes moked crack for the first time at age thirteen. His drug abuse only escalated from that point on. He believed after having watched two sisters and his older brother die from the tragic lifestyle of addiction, that he was destined to die with a needle hanging from his arm. Hank experienced multiple overdoses. He almost succeeded in killing himself numerous times. Not to mention that he lived for months with a pistol in his mouth, contemplating his own suicide in order to stop his disease from killing him. Repeating time after time, ill kill myself after this next hit. Thank God for that next hit. He learned at an early age that drugs would take away the pain that had led him to this sick lifestyle. His long life of sexual, mental, physical and bully abused lifestyle eventually took its toll. After abusing drugs for seventeen years, he found another way to live. Since September first, nineteen ninety four, he has remained clean by becoming a member of a 12 step Fellowship and has remained clean for 23 years. Hank has earned a double Ph.D. of Metaphysical Sciences. He is called apon to work with entrepreneurs as well as executives at leading institutions such as. He has provided spiritual life coaching for athletes such as former WWE World Championship athletes, Former Heavy Weight Champion Wrestlers From TNA Wrestling, Probowl Linebacker For the Detroit Tigers, and many more musicians and artist of various backgrounds as well as business counseling for entrepreneurs. With over twenty years of coaching and training, Hank Smith is founder and CEO of The St James Recovery Center. He has helped over 800 Ex-convicts and addicts re-enter into society and find transformation from a rugged hard life to a spiritual journey of peace.
