XJayM Music & E. Logan My name is E. Logan. I've been doing music for more than a minute now. It has been a dream of mine to do music people would love and enjoy listening to. So I decided to start my own thing. That way I would connect with other indepedent Artist and hopefully create something different. I came together with two friends (Marcos Council and Eric Vincent) who helped me conceptualize what we all could do business wise, together. We all have different things that we want to do, but we help each other out on each of our projects. We all hope to bring something to our table as a whole. I hope to bring you music, not just from myself but other Artist that I believe in as well. We are not big time artists with millions of dollars. We are independent artist trying to come together to create something different from what's been done before. Currently today there are elements missing from Hip Hop that made it as big as it is today. Hip hop expressed the good and the bad things African Americans were going through. It opened up dialog to discuss important topics we coudn't continue (and still can't) to ignore at that time (such as drugs in the black community and pregnancy just to name a few). Don't get me wrong, I love hip hop, even today. There are some really good artist out there, but the playing field has changed (as it should from time to time). Today we no longer have a "Public Enemy" or even a "Da La Soul." Those artist showed us that its OK to be different. They represented something different than what was popular at the time. They became popular for being themselves in the process, because people wanted choice.
