Famed record producer and engineer Brooks Arthur goes into the studio and records a collection of songs featuring Brooks and his first love, the love of singing. "Songs Are Like Prayers" contains a blend of songs that Brooks Arthur heard while growing up in Brooklyn, NY, that have deep meaning for him, his family, and friends. It also features two new numbers, including the inspirational title tune, "Songs Are Like Prayers." The CD is comprised of soulful and poignant vocals with piano accompaniment by Mike Garson, concert pianist and keyboard player for David Bowie. Special guest appearance by Lainie Kazan.
